Job Title:
Senior Seafood Trader
Role Purpose:
To contribute to the implementation of trading strategies and plans within Agra Trading. To maximise the profitability and growth of Agra Trading Seafood Division by proactively developing and executing one to one relationships with the key stakeholders.
Reports To:
Commercial Director
Key Responsibilities:
- The Seafood trader is responsible for trading activities related to the Seafood Products and building and managing a department which will support their trading activities.
- To support other traders in developing business in order to complement Agra’s existing product, Customer and Supplier portfolio.
- To pursue opportunities for growth within their specialty as well as new opportunities that fit within the overall Agra’s business, whether or not they are currently being exploited.
- Responsible for selling, marketing and sourcing Seafood products across the Globe based on the opportunities, using extensive experience in trading in the Seafood industry.
- Obtain and share a full understanding of supplier/customer processes and culture by networking and relationship building.
- To advise Management on market trends affecting future plans.
- To provide regular appropriate reports to the Group Financial Department.
- Where appropriate, to undertake travel both nationally and internationally to meet customers and suppliers as well as strengthen existing relationships.
- To adhere to the rules and practices of Agra Trading. All deals must be conducted in accordance with company trading policy and must be pre-approved at Director level and conducted within the company trading policy.
- Flexibility in carrying out other tasks and responsibilities which may arise in order to achieve the overall purpose and success of the Trading team.
Experience, Qualifications & Competencies:
- Third level qualification in International Business or similar.
- Strong Leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and business awareness skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team Player with ability to work on own initiative.
- Good Learning aptitude.
- Willingness to travel.
